Colonel Fritz Meyers is a 1997 AQHA sorrel stallion with a flaxen mane and tail. He stands 15.l hh and weighs approximately 1200 lbs. He is bred to perform with champions Colonel Freckles, Fritz Command and Doc Tari on his papers. He has a very quiet disposition.
Fritz is extremely quick and athletic, and really knows how to work off his rear end and work a cow! Colonel Fritz was purchased off a working ranch in Florida, where he "earned his living" working cattle. Our trainer, Robin Stang, recognized the natural talent and breeding in this stallion, and began working with him with the 2002 AQHA World Show as a goal. In less than six months, the Colonel was qualified for the World Show and had earned his Register of Merit in Performance. Prior to our purchase, the Colonel had no show experience or formal training--he was "just another ranch horse". The Colonel qualified for the 2003 AQHA World Show in open team penning and working cow, and his team won the Reserve World Championship in team penning. His half-brother, Colonel Legal Whiz (owned by Robin's wife, Kristin Klingermann, was also on the team.) In December 2003, AQHA awarded the Open Superior Award for team penning to Colonel Fritz. In January 2004, he qualified for the 2004 AQHA World Show in Open penning. He is the 2004 Versatility Ranch Horse Reserve World Champion for the World Foundation Quarter Horse Affiliation (WFQHA), the WFQHA 2005 Open Ranch Cutting World Champion; Res World Champion, Open Ranch Horse Trail; and WFQHA 2005 World Champion in both team penning and sorting. He is a four time AQHA World Show qualifier. He spells VERSATILITY--cutting, reining, team penning, sorting, roping, trail, working cow and more! No job is too big for him to handle!
The Colonel's foals all have his wonderful, quiet disposition, short back, big stop, pretty head and plenty of "turn and burn". His foals show great cow sense at an early age, watching and moving the cattle on their own, as well as any dogs or goats who happen to be in the area. They play by loping across the pasture, changing leads at a whim, and love to slam on the brakes to come to a sliding stop! One of his sons is being shown in sorting, penning, and versatility and is racking up the AQHA points. as well as being an AQHA World Show qualifier. Other sons and daughters are being used in versatility, cutting, halter, and reining. He is an excellent cross with your quarter horse, paint or palomino mare.

"I cannot even start to tell you how happy I am with my filly...I started showing her at 2 months in halter and she is undefeated in every 2-year old and under class she has stepped in. She has never placed less than 3rd in any open halter class either!!..."
Haven't dropped a line in a while so I thought I would send you a few pictures of Delilia. She is doing great and we love her. She is always the favorite of new visitors and has such a sweet personality. We couldn't have asked for a better filly! She has done a few halter classes this year, winning all of her yearling classes and never lower then reserve in open!!! She is such a classy little filly.
